Why is Baptism Important? As a disciple of Christ, it’s important that we publicly stand with Him in celebrating our new life. That makes baptism a first step for a new follower of Christ to take. Baptism is our way of telling the world about our relationship with Christ. Jesus did it, and it’s an important way we can follow His footsteps.
